Vitamin D comes from sunlight, During October and March, there is a limited supply of it in the UK. Almost a quarter of the population has vitamin D deficiency in their blood. Not everyone can afford a holiday, so maybe it's time to invest in a sun lamp or buy some fortified breakfast cereal to give your self a boost. Research suggests this deficiency is linked to heart conditions, diabetes, asthma and cognitive impairment in the elderly. I always take my vitamins and maintain a healthy nutritional diet to ensure, my body gets what it needs. Vitamin D helps strengthen the body and its immune system and may lower the risk of some cancers.
